Born in Jakarta, September 10, 1983, Priast's DJ career began as a mere curiosity to Electronica music genre.
Later on, when he studies Journalism in Welland, Ontario, Canada, he started to have a keen interest in becoming a DJ. Using only his computer for his live mixing, he focused himself in the area of digital DJ and determined use high-end notebook as his weapon of choice.
Everything was self taught, in four months, leading him t the influence of Trance by Mario Stephano, 4 Strings, Tiesto, Above & Beyond, etc. He took it to the next challenge and learned the Progressive, which amongst others are influenced by Danny Tenaglia and Robbie Rivera. Soon, he realized his true talent was moving towards Electro House.
Having set his foot on that, Priast began his passion for DJ-ing in his dorm room. Words spread and an internet radio station invited him to be a guest DJ for a month. This took him to further show off his talent at his college club and pub which was quite a rave.
In 2004, Priast took up the offer DJ-ing for a local Mardi Gras, attended by some 200 clubbers as well as other locals. When he moved to another college in a different city, studying Multimedia Design & Production, he sharpened his talent more seriously. Earning a scholarship from the Ministry of Sound UK. In the same year, he started using SoulShakeR as his DJ name. He was often invited for home sessions and private parties. A song called "THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO" was soon on the way.
Most remembered party was 2006's March Break Madness, made it as opening act to DJ Chris Allen. Priast continues his true passion to becoming a significant contributor to Indonesia's world of Electro House!
